Who Are We?

We are a faith-based, grassroots, nonpartisan organization that welcomes everyone who seeks to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God and others while promoting policies that foster equity, diversity, and inclusion—affirming the value and dignity of all. PP&J is a result of my personal journey of awakening to systemic injustice over the past decade.

    Join us as we Stand Up, Show Up & Speak Up for our country, our communities, our neighbors seeking compassion, liberty and justice for ALL. Oceanside Civic Center on February 11, 25, March 4, 11, 18 from 4 – 5:30 pm. Carlsbad (Carlsbad Blvd & Pine Ave) on February 16 and March 28 from 10-11:30 am.

    The ongoing deadly actions and cruelty of ICE, combined with a lack of accountability and transparency and their disregard for the US Constitution, are unacceptable. We will be standing in solidarity with the protesters in Minneapolis, have a moment of silence for those gunned down by ICE, those who have died in custody, and the families that have been, are being impacted. We will conclude our time by gathering at the steps that lead up to the City Council chambers (the council will be in session) and blast them with our pro-immigrant, anti-ICE chants and whistles.     WHY PROTEST? I have been leading, co-hosting, or attending protests since March 14, 2025 (over two dozen). On a number of occasions, I have been asked, “Why do I protest?” and “Do I believe protests are actually helpful?” In the next several posts, I will provide twenty-one reasons why I lead and participate in protests. 1.
