Who Are We?

We are a faith-based, grassroots, nonpartisan organization that welcomes everyone who seeks to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God and others while promoting policies that foster equity, diversity, and inclusion—affirming the value and dignity of all. PP&J is a result of my personal journey of awakening to systemic injustice over the past decade.

  • Know Your Rights (KYR) 1/17
Joined me on Saturday to help people Know Your Rights (KYR). This knowledge can help people avoid deportation. When you know your rights, you can exert your rights—right to remain silent, the right to not open your door to ICE/BP agents unless they have a judicial warrant….cise them—right to remain silent, right not to an attorney…. This is a way to help those in our community to be safe and stay in our community. This information is POWER! Come and help us empower those facing the threat of deportation. • Candle Light Vigil 1/11
This has been a heavy week for all of us. Mothers and families should all be given the chance to start this new year with the promise of a safe and dignified future. • January 4 Protest
Thank you to all who braved the elements to protest the insanity of the bombing, kidnapping and coup in Venezuela authorized by President Trump. We had over fifty people, and our protest was picked up by local media and was broadcast throughout San Diego County. Our message was hugely amplified! Let’s continue to get into good and necessary trouble.
  • Happy New Year?!
We barely had time to ring in the New Year, and to wake up today to the news about Trump’s actions in Venezuela!?! In light of the implications of these actions we are organizing a protest tomorrow, Sunday January 4th at the Oceanside Civic Center from 3:00 to 4:30pm to show up, stand up and speak up for democracy, against using the war as a distraction and a way to benefit the oil companies, without the approval of Congress! Hope to see you there!
