Who Are We?
We are a faith-based, grassroots, nonpartisan organization that welcomes everyone who seeks to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God and others while promoting policies that foster equity, diversity, and inclusion—affirming the value and dignity of all. PP&J is a result of my personal journey of awakening to systemic injustice over the past decade.
- Save These DatesSave the date (upcoming protests) Sunday, June 14, from 1:30 PM – 3:15 PM at the Otay Mesa ICE Detention Protest, 7488 Calzada de la Fuente, San Diego. We gather to remind those being detained that they are not forgotten and to demonstrate our resistance to this method of treating people who live and work in our country. Saturday, July 18, from 10-11:45 am at the Oceanside Civic Center. The protest is entitled Good Trouble Lives On (I am a John Lewis fan). - Wednesday Afternoon Protests continuingWe are continuing to meet on Wednesdays from 4-5:30 pm at the Oceanside Civic Center. We are seeking to advocate for truth over lies, liberty and justice for all, demonstrating to our neighbors that all people matter and those on the margins are not forgotten or deemed less than. You are free to bring a sign or signs that express your heart, your concerns.
- SAVE the DATE May 2 (click for flyer)On Saturday morning, May 2, from 10-noon, we are planning to have a protest at the Oceanside Civic Center from 10-12 pm. So save the date. We are hoping to do a march down to Pacific Ave and then back up Mission to the Civic Center. Possibly pausing in front of the theater for a bit of singing and then lining Coast Hwy with our bodies and signs. The theme is defiant hope!
