Know Your Rights (KYR) 1/17

Joined me on Saturday to help people Know Your Rights (KYR). This knowledge can help people avoid deportation. When you know your rights, you can exert your rights—right to remain silent, the right to not open your door to ICE/BP agents unless they have a judicial warrant….
cise them—right to remain silent, right not to an attorney….

This is a way to help those in our community to be safe and stay in our community. This information is POWER! Come and help us empower those facing the threat of deportation.

NOTE: A “Know Your Rights” (KYR) card is a wallet-sized card, often red, that summarizes your constitutional rights during interactions with law enforcement or immigration officials, particularly highlighting the right to remain silent and the right to an attorney, and serves as a reminder for individuals to assert these rights calmly and can be shown or read aloud to officers.
